About the Dreamplex Stars
The Dreamplex Stars Cheerleading squad provides a positive learning environment where friendships can be developed and nurtured. We build skills together and then perform as a group to promote connections and inclusion in our community.
Spots on the squad are limited as priority is given to returning athletes. Please complete the interest form below and we will contact you when a spot opens.
Our History
The Dreamplex cheer program started in 2015 as a class with less than 5 students. By the end of 2015, it had grown into a squad of more than 15 cheerleaders and held their first performance at that year’s Dreamplex Gala. Over the years they have performed at local community events, high school, collegiate, and NBA basketball games, and various competitive tournaments.
Kristie and Maegan Hershner, a dedicated mother-daughter team, coach the Dreamplex Stars cheer squad. Kristie, a retired special education teacher, and Maegan, a speech pathologist, find joy in guiding the cheerleaders as they build confidence and form strong bonds. They are dedicated to making the experience enriching and enjoyable for both the cheerleaders and their families, feeling honored to be part of their lives.

Our Impact
Cheerleaders
19 individuals, ages 8-37, with varying exceptionalities, including Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and other exceptionalities.
Peer Buddies
2 school-aged sisters who joined to foster friendships with peers with exceptionalities.
Volunteers
14 dedicated individuals who support practices and events.
